The Cassalanters are nobles who live in Waterdeep. They invited the group to their mansion and revealed that they worship Asmodeus. Simon almost joined a cult of Asmodeus who operate out of a secret basement area.[1] The Cassalanters made a deal with Asmodeus that transformed one of their kids into a chain devil, and the other two may transform as well if the terms aren't met by a certain date.
- Victoro: Father. He has a cane that is similar to the ruby rod that Asmodeus carries.
- Amalia: Mother.
- Osvaldo: Their son, who has been transformed into a chain devil. They keep him in the attic, where he is trapped in the confines of a magic circle.

- Alzarina: The daughter.
